Enchanted Dolls of fairy tale, legend and folklore.

The luminous skin, the liquid eyes, the encrusted beading, the delicacy of the limbs. Come and be amazed by the exquisite, diminutive ball jointed porcelain figures of Marina Bychkova. Either costumed or nudes, this artist creates remarkably poseable interpretations of archetypes from the folklore of many cultures.

Her website is a portal to gorgeous galleries, intriguing artist's statements, a blog and twitter feed. And she's coming to the USA for a solo show very soon too.

Marina's work always amazes me. She is capable of surprising her fans every time she comes up with a new idea and embodies that idea into a doll.

I am a lucky owner of one of her dolls and that doll is the most beautiful thing I own in my collection.

Marina is very lucky to be so talented and we are lucky to be able to enjoy the beauty she creates.

Thank you for commenting Ilona.
Do you have a blog with pictures about your doll collection that I could feature here?

HOW BEAUTIFUL. I'm so happy that you've started this blog so I can admire all the work of other doll makers.
