Paola Zakimi

Paola Zakimi is a doll maker from Argentina showing her evocative and distinctive pale dolls on her bilingual blog. She's currently prepping for a solo show in Australia, exploring themes of yearning, emptiness and lost hopes, the challenges of poverty as expressed in a moving poem translated on the blog.

Who says dolls are a trivial art form? Not me, not me.

(Thanks Mary Ann.)

You're welcome Robyn! There's something about these dolls that speak volumes to me. Don't know why though!
